There is nothing quite like a brand new Honda GX160 G4 motor in a sealed box. It is the blank canvas with which to create a very competitive kart race engine.
There are many things that can be done to a GX160 to increase power, but how much can you get whilst optimising the engine within the MSUK specifications?
The Transformation
The engines get measured thoroughly out of the box before any changes are made. The deck & cylinder head are measured for machining, a cursory note of the starting cam timing and ignition timing is made before disassembly.

The Result
So far this year we have had winning engines in both Clubman and Super/Elite classes. We expect more great things this year...
